(J. Indian Math. Soc.; JIMS ; ISSN(Print) 0019-5839, ISSN(Online) 2455-6475)

The Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society is published by the Indian Mathematical Society and is one of the oldest Mathematics Journals in India with a rich history. It started its publication as Progress Reports right from its establishment year 1907. In the year 1909, the Progress Report was rechristened as Journal under the title 'The Journal of the Indian Mathematical Club'. However, from 1910 onwards it is published in its current title 'The Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society' and the journal appeared regularly every two months till 1933. Thereafter it turned into a quarterly journal as new series of JIMS. For more on History click here.

Currently, it is published in two parts: numbers 1 and 2 (January to June) as one part and numbers 3 and 4 (July to December) as the second part. From the year 2015, the JIMS is published online also jointly by the IMS and the Informatics Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, India (IPL) https://www.informaticsjournals.com/index.php/jims

The Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society (JIMS) is a peer reviewed journal and is managed by an Editorial Board. Scrutiny and selection of articles is done by the accepted standards of peer review, drawing on the competence of specialist reviewers worldwide. The Journal strives to publish original research papers in all fields of pure and applied mathematics. The submitted manuscripts are expected to contribute towards broader ongoing research in the area. The journal covers all diversified fields of mathematics and its applications, such as, but not restricted to: Algebra, Applied Mathematics, Combinatorics, Complex Analysis, Differential Equations, Functional Analysis, Geometry, Graph Theory, Number Theory, Topology, Numerical Analysis, Optimization, Probability Theory, etc.

The periodical is managed by the Editor-in-Chief with the help of Editorial Board
